The fear of viral transmission is very much present in our lives and this is why it is important for us to understand that there are natural ways to protect ourselves. In this day and age of hand sanitizers one must think that every product is equally safe and works the same way. In this newsletter, we would like to show you a natural way of protection with only two ingredients: a mixture of ethanol and DMSO. Why these two?

The main strength of this study is that DMSO and ethanol have very few contraindications as a mouthwash or nasal spray and their administration is cheap, simple and rapid. They are readily available in healthcare worldwide as well and the sensitization is extremely rare.

Ethanol, colloidal silver and its possible applications

Before development of pharmaceuticals, silver was employed as a germicide and antibiotic and it became a prominent treatment for everything from colds to skin infections.

In our family, we take two sprays of colloidal silver into each nostril and one in the back of the throat every morning, and when we travel, we keep it with us on the plane and take it during the confined trip to keep our throat and nasal passages coated as protection from viral transmission.[4] I would like to see more people using colloidal silver; it would be great getting children to spray it but because the protocol uses alcohol, it stings for a second or two—it is well worth it though.
