“…there are natural, non-invasive ways to improve the quality of the skin.”

Our exposed skin ages over time what is especially noticeable is on the face and neckline. This is our business card that people read every time they see us. The human face tells so much: our face is the perfect mirror on how we have been taking care of our skin. Neglect may not be noticeable as a teen or in our 20’s, but damages will surface as we age. How we care for our skin is extremely important: having adequate drinking water for hydration, eating a well-balanced diet, having a proper cleansing routine, sealers and moisturizers or getting enough sleep are some of the most important factors. The avoidance of stress and excessive exposure to the sun with adequate naturally derived sun screen (as most commercial sun screens are toxic) is also part of the equation.

Each layer of skin contains connective tissue with collagen fibres to give support, and elastin fibres to provide flexibility and strength. As we age, the connective tissues are reduced and skin’s strength and elasticity produce facial lines, as wrinkling is displayed on the surface. The majority of age-dependent changes are unseen in the lower dermis layers.

To help withstand the signs of ageing, first we must become aware of changes that are happening, even those that are unseen. Aging skin does not exfoliate or renew as did before. The skin begins losing moisture and collagen and begins to sag. The unprotected years in the sun expose the visible damage of aged skin, and also contributing are the facial expressions and lifestyle habits (i.e. smoking, alcohol, poor diet, and lack of adequate water); all factors to the inherited look of aging skin. With age, we lose muscle mass and subcutaneous fat so those convexities flatten and eventually become concave. We’ve realized that aging is less about lines and wrinkles and more about tissue loss.

What is DMAE?

DMAE is a natural substance, found in fish, which helps defend against the degradation of cell membranes. A highly potent anti-inflammatory, DMAE has been shown to improve the tone, appearance, and firmness of skin by supporting the fundamental components of collagen and elastin. The science is in, and DMAE has amazing benefits to help slow down the aging process.

Various studies have covered the incredible capabilities of topical DMAE. One study examined the effects of DMAE on cultured human fibroblasts. The scientists found that DMAE decreased fibroblast proliferation and increased fibroblast apoptosis.

The DMAE Restorative Cream could be the solution

According to clinical studies, DMAE Restorative Cream increases the levels of subcutaneous fat in the skin by transporting the necessary nutrients directly to the fat cells, encouraging renewal and growth. It also improves skin tone and resilience. Evens out minor imperfections, softens and eliminates fine lines, helps to smooth acne and scar tissues. The benefits of DMAE in dermatology include an anti-inflammatory effect and a documented increase in skin firmness with improvement in underlying facial muscle tone.

Clinical study of 16 weeks daily use were efficacious in the mitigation of forehead lines and periorbital fine wrinkles, and in improving lip shape and fullness and the overall appearance of aging skin. These effects did not regress during a 2-week cessation of application. Beneficial trends were noted in the appearance of coarse wrinkles, under-eye dark circles, nasolabial folds, sagging neck skin, and neck firmness. It is the best if you use DMAE Restorative Cream before the damages are done, but, of course, it can also be used for the restoration of damaged skin; either way it’s never too late.

Hollywood and the media use young images to sell their products; it is really deceptive showing flawless skin of a 20 year old, and then presenting this image trying to convince the viewer that these are the results of using their anti-aging cream. Psychologically the viewer does not want to see an image of an old person with wrinkles, they want to see what they do not have but deeply want.

Our DMAE Restorative Cream and HGH+ (both presented to the nominees at the 2015 Oscars) showed that there are natural, non-invasive ways to improve the quality of the skin. And what tells more than the testimonials of real people who have tried our cream and have been loving it ever since.

Jamie Rezoski, ND, Toronto,ON: “DMAE Cream really helped soften and plump up my acne scars. It’s slightly exfoliating yet very moisturizing especially used with wet clean hands! I used it as a serum in the winter before bed. The alpha lipoic acid made my skin look more youthful and baby-soft! Perfect for combination skin types.”

Betty N, Vancouver, BC: “I would like to thank you for making DMAE Restorative cream, I love it, love it, love it. I first apply to my skin as a moisture barrier hyaluronic acid serum and then I apply your DMAE Restorative Cream. WOW! This really works for me, my skin feels tight and smooth. I am always receiving complements for the way my skin looks, I am happy.”

Make-Up-Alley Rating 5 out of 5: Life Choice DMAE Restorative Cream: “I love Life Choice DMAE Restorative Cream! The potency of DMAE, Ester-C and glycolic acid in this brand is very high, and you can feel it having an effect the minute you apply. Results are great after one night. I use it before bed. It actually penetrates and works so well that I need to take breaks. I will go 3 nights on, 2-3 nights off, and back again etc. My skin glows and my old acne scars vanish. My large pores around my cheekbones start to disappear and the skin tone everywhere goes to a nice, healthy rose colour.

I’m careful not to apply too much around broken blood vessels around the nose and under-eye because of the glycolic acid, but I do put a little bit and this has not irritated or worsened the broken vessels. It actually has minimized them under the eyes. I feel like I’m able to delay my Botox regimen by a few months, because DMAE Restorative Cream keeps my forehead looking smoother and rejuvenated, longer. It also works as a spot treatment – where I can use it daily – for breakouts.”
