A Year in Review

“This year marks a milestone for Life Choice, it is our 40th Year in the health food industry. It is hard to encapsulate the struggles and victories, but we will do our very best in sharing all that was done and where we are today.”

As we enter 2026 it is important to stop for a moment and look back to the accomplishments that we have completed in 2025. We encourage you to do the same to really see where last year’s focus was centered, what practices you want to continue doing in this new year or, on the contrary, which are those that you should stop doing.

Last year at Life Choice we produced 52 newsletters which we also released in audio form to keep our readers informed and up to date on the matters of health, exposing the lies and presenting the true facts, not the rhetoric or false narratives. The areas of interest we brought to the forefront were hormone health, the safety of our food supply, mental illness, how our planet and the solar system affect life on Earth, protecting natural health products from government overreach, and offering alternative treatments to the disease process.

Certainly, it is difficult to navigate among all the information that surround us and understand the consequences of our choices—media surely makes it even harder to read between the lines. But now, whenever they talk about long COVID, you will understand that it is represented as the magic carpet that is used to sweep everything uncomfortable underneath, those difficult decisions of forcing the world into being guinea pigs for a social experiment of an untested mRNA concoction that is safe for everyone until it is taken. They are going to need a bigger carpet since the elephant is breaking out.

It was a challenging year in the field of natural medicine and we are always on guard from the FDA and Health Canada. Bill C-47, the attack on natural health products, has had a brief reprieve of cost recovery—this would have added to the cost of all natural health products with an NPN. The battle continues to erase the damaging effects of C-47, items 500-504, to preserve access to natural health products with the second reading of MP Blaine Calkins’s Private Member’s Bill C-224, An Act to amend the Food and Drugs Act (natural health products).[1]

Life Choice introduced two new products to the marketplace last year, both for hormonal health: Balanced and Thyroid Support. With the massive uptick in hormone imbalance these two products are doing wonders for the ladies using these formulas. Balanced is a special formulation intended to help women ensure the inner balance.  Both traditional and modern ingredients have been combined in a synergistic, nutrient-rich formula. Thyroid Support is a homeopathic remedy used to help relieve symptoms such as weakness, fatigue, cold hands and feet, dry skin, and chilliness—all of which speak to an imbalance in thyroid gland function. Every ingredient is designed to aid thyroid function. This formulation will prompt the body to take charge and balance the thyroid, instead of making the body dependent on external means to do so.

We were busy answering customers’ questions on Life Choice products as well; some great ones were answered by Dr. Dahl regarding 17 different products—check Doctor’s Corner to learn more about them too.[2] All the questions answered are timestamped so if you want to find the answers to some specific ones, you can easily locate them.

This year marks a milestone for Life Choice, it is our 40th Year in the health food industry. From being a retailer to practitioner to manufacturer, the 40 years represents so very much. It is hard to encapsulate the struggles and victories, but we will do our very best in sharing all that was done and where we are today.

Good times are ahead for 2026, we will be introducing a few new natural health products: a liver detox for treating fatty liver, a laxative to ease occasional constipation and a relaxing Kava Kava Tea. On a different note: we also plan to release a follow up book to Natural Medicine for a Sick World. The future is good and we are looking forward to seeing what it brings for us.

We wish you the same: goals and plans to be accomplished and achieved, to grow and learn and be able to enjoy life to the fullest. When we look at the world through a mindful and hopeful lens, we can choose to see opportunities for peace, healing, and connection. By directing our attention toward what we can influence—our thoughts, attitudes, and daily actions—we nurture calm, resilience, and wellbeing.

Protecting our inner world is essential. Contentment and inner peace flourish when we focus on balance, gratitude, and presence. Research consistently shows that optimism supports better health, longevity, and overall quality of life. In fact, people who cultivate positive outlooks tend to live longer and experience greater vitality. Optimism does not ignore reality—it strengthens our ability to meet life with clarity and hope.

Our minds are naturally creative and active, and when guided intentionally, they become powerful allies for wellbeing. Practices such as mindfulness and meditation help us stay grounded in the present moment, allowing clarity to replace worry and calm to replace tension. Studies show that these practices reduce stress, ease discomfort, and support both mental and physical health.

Peaceful living also grows from understanding and compassion. While our beliefs and experiences may differ, our core desires remain the same: to be loved, to see our families thrive, and to live in harmony.
